How to Create a Google Account

Learn how to create a Google accoount for free online.


Create an Account Online

  1. Open your browser on a computer or a mobile device.
  2. Go to google.com
  3. Click Sign-In in the top right corner of the window.
  4. Click Create Account below the textfield next to the Next button.
  5. Choose For My Personal Use, For My Child, or For Work or My Business.
  6. Follow the on-screen prompts with your name and age, then create a username and a password. Note that your username is your Gmail email address.
  7. Agree to Terms and Conditions

You must be at least 13 years old to create a Google account without parental or guardian help and supervision. The minimum age varies depending on what country you are located in.


Create an Account on a Google Pixel Phone or Tablet

  1. Open Settings
  2. Scroll down and tap on Passwords, Passkeys, & Accounts
  3. At the bottom of the page, tap Add Account.
  4. Tap Google in the list of accounts
  5. You might need to verify your identity.
  6. Tap Create Account in the bottom left corner of the screen.
  7. Follow steps 5 through 7 from the instructions in Create an Account Online above.
