Set a Custom Ringtone and Text Tone on Your Android Device
Learn how to install and set a custom ringtone and text tone on your Android device.
Download and Install
Once you have obtained your audio file, move it to the ringtone folder or the notifications folder to add it to your library of sounds.
Set Ringtone / Text Tone
- Open Settings
- Tap Sound & Vibration
- Tap Phone Ringtone or Default Notification Sound
- Tap My Sounds
- Select your custom sound
The exact names of each setting might vary slightly depending on what brand and model of Android device you have and what software version it is currently running.
