Learn what to do if your Apple account is locked, disabled, or deactivated.
If you receive one of the following messages in a pop-up, your Apple Account has been locked to protect your privacy and security.
You cannot sign in and use any Apple services while your account is locked or disabled. Apple Accounts are locked or disabled for security reasons if account credentials are entered in incorrectly too many times. To regain access to your account, you will need to reset your password at iforgot.apple.com.

If you see a message while signing into Apple services that says your Apple Account account is locked or not active, you might be able to request access to your account by tapping Request Access right from the alert.

All Apple ID's have been updated to Apple Accounts. Your data is still safe and secure and your login info is still the same.
An Apple Account can be created on an iOS device with iOS 9 or later.
